SMP
FAQs
-
Scalp Micropigmentation is a non-invasive treatment that uses detailed micro-needles to deposit pigment into the scalp. The result creates the appearance of tiny hair follicles that help thicken and restore the look of fuller hair. If you are starting to thin, recede, you’re a perfect candidate for SMP.
SMP is also effective for those suffering from minor hair thinning or recession. By accurately replicating your own natural hair follicles and hair color, scalp micropigmentation can help strengthen and add density to thinning areas, creating an undetectable illusion of thicker, stronger hair. -
Scalp pigmentation requires little to no continued maintenance and carries no strict lifestyle or daily restrictions.

To create the most natural appearance possible, on average, patients receive two to three treatments spaced out 10-14 days between each session, followed by touch ups every 3-4 years, if needed.
Pre Care Instruction
• Do Not tan. Avoid direct sunlight to avoid burning and peeling of the scalp.
• Do not drink alcohol 24 hours before your procedure.
• Avoid caffeine the day of your procedure.
• Try to shower before the procedure because you cannot wash your hair for 1-2 days after treatment.
After Care Instruction
• Do not drink alcohol for the next 24 hours.
• Redness and irritation are normal for 1-3 days. The scabbing process is typically 5-7 days.
• Do not wash, use shampoo, water, or soap for 1-2 days.
• Do not touch, rub, or pick the area. Allow the scab or dry skin to come off on its own.
• Do not use anything on your scalp that contains alcohol for 7 days.
• Avoid work out, sauna, swimming, or anything that can cause sweating for 7 days.
• After day 2, you may wash your hair. But be gentle! Pat dry, do not rub.
